Retail Therapy

Derek and I have a lot going on in our lives right now. He started a new job, plus he still bartends part-time and is currently working 70 hours per week. He also is the President of our local baseball association which keeps him very busy at this time of year. I've been working lots, working out 4-5 times per week, assisting with dog training once per week and trying to adapt to Derek's busy schedule.

Between the hustle bustle of our lives and the constantly rainy weather we've been having, it has been a struggle some days to be fun and perky and full of energy.

It's amazing how a day of retail therapy can turn things around and make me feel wonderful! On Saturday, my friends and I took a bus tour to Michigan and do some shopping at the Birch Run Outlets. Let's just say it was a very successful trip. Check out some of my great buys:

Under Armour had some amazing deals - this was $9.97!!

My friend Judy has one of these insulated travel mugs --- I love mine in pink :-)

New Asics cross-trainers. This is my first pair of Asics So far, they're super comfy!

I got Derek an Under Armour shirt too. I think this is our motto right now!

Cutest outfit EVER from Banana Republic. I could have spent lots more money here!

My all-time fave skirt.

I hear about Chobani greek yogourt all the time, but we can't get it in Canada.
I found these in Target and can't wait to have one today as my post-workout breakie!
I am most excited about these...& my new skirt :-)

Next time we are going to schedule a weekend because there simply wasn't enough time to go to every store and we are only allowed to bring a small amount of purchases (dollar amount) back across the border. I literally could have shopped for many more hours!

I hope you had a wonderful weekend and an amazingly special Mother's Day (to all you moms out there, I hope you were spoiled rotten and to all you dads & kids, I hope you were able to spend some special time with the special ladies in your lives). I have a real appreciation for you moms and I seriously do not know how you do it. I can barely manage my own life and all I have is a hubby & two dogs!! Mothers truly are superwomen!! My mom lives 12 hours away, so we didn't spend the day together yesterday, but I have a visit planned for Memorial Day Weekend and we are going to do something fun together then.....perhaps a little more retail therapy might be in the cards????

I was very busy this weekend, so unfortunately I didn't really have any exciting eats to share with you.. The good news is that I have lots of delicious meal ideas in store for you this week, so check back soon!

Did you do anything special for Mother's Day?

Let's kick this week off on the right foot and have a fabulous Monday!

Andrea
